I'm REALLY new to Cakewalk. :) I've had a small studio in my house for about 2 years. Have mainly done acoutic/real-time stuff but a friend introduced me to MIDI a year ago. Been playing with Voyetra's Orchestra MIDI Plus. I don't really do that much with MIDI - but from time to time I like to lay a track or 2 down on my Yamaha AW4416 workstation. And I've not done much mixing in the sequencer - just use it to play samples then do all the mixing on the Yamaha.
But someone told me a couple of weeks ago about MTC/Sync in which I no longer have to hit the PLAY on the sequencer 10 times before I get it JUST right! :) And the Yamaha supports MTC and MIDI Clock. So someone told me to get Cakewalk b/c it'll work with the Yamaha and run in sync - automatically lining up all I want. Which is REALLY cool -well, the theory is b/c I've put about 13 hours into it so far and for the love of me CAN'T figure it out!! :)
And what's more frustrating is that I read in the documentation (which isn't very good) that I'm suppose to click on OPTION then PROJECT to setup the MMC to do this/that to get the Yamaha and Cakewalk in sycn -- but there is nothing there that the documentation says!!! ARGH!!!!!!!!!! :)
Can anyone give me some direction/advice?
