Message:strange phenomenon. if i take any given track and rerecord it onto a second track through the soundcards mixer, the newly recorded track is lagging behind the original track. i have a terratec dmx fire and a clean machine running win 98se. fast enough computer that is pretty lean. normal mixing latency is practically not there and input monitoring works fine. the recording lag is there whether i use mme, wdm or asio drivers. the amount of lag increases with increased asio buffers for example.
this problem may be soundcard specific. try it out with your systems and post here.
