Message:I need to know, what is the proper way to notate a mallet percussion roll? For Ex. I have a Marimba part that is shown as 2 staves (one treble and one bass clef)with 3 notes in each for a 3-mallet roll (2 seperate players). Should I indicate the roll with the triple slash on each staff or once between the two? Later, when I have a multiple mallet roll notated in both staves but for only one player... would it be better to indicate it as a tremelo?
