Message:
I just installed Sonar 2 on my PC today. I have a Sony Vaio P4 2.0 GHz, 768MB RAM, and a Sound Blaster Live! 5.1 sound card. (I know the sound blaster isn't the best card but I've had it for a while and can't afford a new one at the moment.) I wanted to record an acoustic guitar track, so I plugged my guitar into a BBE 386 acoustic guitar preamp and plugged that into the sound blaster. I followed the instructions to set up and arm a track for audio recording. But I can't get any sound at all! I even tried using the crappy little mic that came with my pc but I couldn't get sound with that either. Can anyone help me? Am I missing something? Should I save up and get a better sound card? Any input or help would be greatly apreciated!
