Message:I need to know the "correct" way to notate accidentals. When should an accidental be displayed as a flat, sharp or natural?
For example: In the key of D Major, we all know that C and F are automatically sharped. What if I want to play a natural C. Should it be notated as C natural or as B#? Both are played the same, but is there a standard way of doing this?
Also let's say I want to play a Bb note in the key of D Major. Should this notated on paper as Bb or A#? Is there a "correct" way of notating this?
