Message:
Hi fellow cakewalk home studio users. I'm having a few problems within the software itself and the interphases between my computer and the rest of the studio. I have both pro adiou and sonar, alesis QS8, gina echo (8-out and 2-in) sound card, Mackie 16 track, dbx 266XL, Dr-770 drum machine and a Digitech vioce machine. I have the following problems:
A. I can't acess track 1 within cakewalk for some reason.
B. I can't mixdown the midi to audio on the left side-panned to zero. Only the right side will record.
C. I'm completely lost as to how to tweek the Mackie for the best sound and what mode it should be in.
D. I don't understand exactly how to set the the DBX for the best effects.
E. there are some effects on the QS8 that I can't seem to acess-the reverb and echo etc. are terrible in cakewalk compared to my keyboard.
F. I have the feeling that my whole studio, including my way too expensive PS8 monitors, is not setup to it's best potential.

Although I have finished 10 pop songs and one piano concerto, all mixed down and burned on CD, the sound and effects are inconsistent, sometimes good and sometimes bad. just one button pushed that should or should not be pushed, can make a world of difference, and that seems to be the game I'm playing.

I'm looking for an experienced Cakewalk software/studio person, familiar with the devices that I have in my studio, to come over and correct the above problems, as my studio has been shut down for like three months now, after I finished my concerto-my last and most recent project, and also a good example of how, especially the strings, need to be tweeked so I don't get that synthesized feel to them.
Because I seem to have multiple problems between the software, the QS8, the Mackie and DBX, I don't think I an reslove these problems through e-mail or over the phone- and I'm anxious to start composing and recording again.
So if you consider yourself very experienced with what I have, write me back and I'll give you my number.
Thanks, Dean Abrams

Anyway, if you live in south jersey or the philly area, give me a call and we can work out a fee I'll pay you to fix the above problems.
