Message:
I have XP and just cannot conquer the process of burning either a data or audio CD that can be read from any other PC.

I copy the files to be burned, click on my drive that has a CR-R in it, follow the prompting that starts the copying process and then confirm that the files are indeed copied onto the CD.

While I can acess the CD on my own PC and on some others (Win 98,95 etc)- I can't access the CD from other PCs. I tried to access this same CD-R while giving a Power Point presentation and I couldn't access the drive! I immediately inserted someone else's CD-R and got access to it.

It's almost seems this happens at random.

Please help me to understand the correct process and the real difference between CD-R and CD-RW and when to use them.

Thanks
