Message:I am trying to record from a tape to a .wav file using the line-in on my Aureal Vortex. I configured the windows mixer so as to be able to hear the tape through my speakers, so i know the line in is working properly. But i can't seem to get it to record in cakewalk. When I go into the track view, I have the options for source as Left Aureal Audio, Right Aureal Audio, and Stereo Aureal Audio, as well as all of the midi inputs. for the port, i have aureal wavetable and aureal audio. i have tried different combinations , but i just can't seem to get it, and the help is not helpful. I know this is novice stuff, but then again, i am a novice. I am not sure about any of the settings in the track mode at all, including channel, bank, volume, velocity, etc. any insight would be really helpful. Thanks a ton, Raj
