Clearsky: If you have all the data in the new program and only one track is playing, it sounds like a routing issue. * Have you set the other tracks to the correct output device? i.e. your rack-mount MIDI sound canvas or MIDI keyboard? * Check the Channel, Bank and Patch assignments. * Have you got ...

I've tried three. One I can't remember, the others were Intelliscore and Amazing MIDI. Of those two Amazing MIDI is better.

There are cracked versions out there but if you can't find them, let me know, they might be small enough to email

I took a look at the tut. Cool feature but it didn't say anything about being able to capture or output the MIDI data to a file. Question for Bluecat support (if you have a registered copy). Otherwise - what about a simple audio to MIDI converter prog - that would generate all the data you want. Dro...

She: You can turn on a vertical grid if you want to on the Track view in Sonar 7. As for the rest, it's arranged differently which you'd think would throw you off and be a problem - but it's not. It's arranged in a much better way and you'll soon wonder how you managed before. As a rule, more option...

andi: I couldn't be bothered with the manual :) Are you sure it can output controler data using an Audio track? That sounds either very clever or very fishy. It's usually difficult to convert or interpret audio data and get useable MIDI. Assuming you're right about that part, can Bluecat actually ca...

evad: It sounds like a routing issue, you might be panning successfully but actually listening to the unpanned output coming from a different bus. Is it possible there's a dupe of that track running at the same time? That might give the appearance of no effect. If you were inadvertently sending all ...

Try this:

Stop playback, then press the Pause key on your computer keyboard. You may need to make sure your F Lock key on your computer keyboard is ON first.

That toggles the scrolling feature but I don't think it was introduced until Sonar 6 - you didn't say what software you're using.

Dan: They're comparable in every way as far as features are concerned. I'm a Sonar user and I thoroughly recommend it. I find the layout simpler and more intuitive and it does absolutely everything on earth you could want to do. Getting started with a few simple tracks is very easy, the help is good...

Rick:

I can't remember all the features of Pro Audio but you should be able to Export both audio and midi - Export is usually found under the File menu.

If Pro Audio will make MIDI groove clips, you can simply drag and drop them into Windows Explorer.

John: You didn't say what version but in Sonar 7: Go to Options > Project > Metronome tab and choose 'Use Audio Metronome' Choose the sound you want to use for the metronome click, then check the box under General that says Recording. Create a new track and set that track to Record. Now you've got a...
