Using Sonar 7 Home Studio XL. I've recorded MIDI tracks and all the notes show up visually in the track,but when I play the track back, it doesn't play all of the notes, it just skips some of them like they're not even there, then resumes playing on another note. How can i fix this?

I have Sonar 7 Home Studio XL. I've been getting dropout over and over again when recording and playing back. I hooked up a keyboard to my laptop and recorded using a MIDI track (obviously), but it seems no matter what effect I have the keyboard set to, when I listen to playback through sonar, it sounds like a 1980s synthesizer. The sound is dummed down and "tinnyfied," so to speak, and it sounds horrible. ...
