I think your metronome is on. Trying tuning it off. It's the little speaker like icon.

I'm using Sonar 7 and a RME fireface 800. If I turn off the INPUT ECHO I cannot hear what I'm recording. But if I turn it on, there is latency or a short delay. If I turn off the INPUT ECHO I should still be able to hear instruments through the RME, but some inputs are not audiable even with the RME...
