Hey Rockin, as long as your version of Home Studio was registered with them, you can upgrade it. If your 8.5 was registered I think thats even better. It's very likely that you are in the wrong driver mode. If you are using the internal sound card you probably want to try MME as your driver mode. If you are using an external interface, try ASIO.
