Man, I cannot believe this post has been here for months and still not as single reply...
If I want more than a stereo output, or a stereo input, can I use multiple cards? - if not, what I/O product does work with sonar so I can use more than a stereo out for my audio?

Sonar4 Producer has many more functions and is more robust overall. I can't list every difference, but I came to this message to see if someone could specifically list them. Audio Problem with Sonar project that used to work...
I've pulled up a Sonar project I havent touched in a a few months. It worked fine before, but now when I start the project, the project locks up with a message at the bottom: 'Audio Stopped'. Happens evern if everything is muted, a midi track soloed, it plays midi for a split second then the message...

Effects are a pain....
I agree about the effects, I'd really like to use the live effects so I can tewak them in the final mix, but it seems to eat up all my CPU's if I get creative, so I minimize my use of real timeeffects. Another problem is they are difficult to control, If I wan an effect just on one part of an Audio ...

I have some rather lengthy tracks (15 minutes long) some of my vocal parts appear to slow(no pitch change) against the MIDI parts -so it seems to be some kind on latency problem - CPU seems OK, less than 20 percent.
