I have the same problem - no internet at home. Easily solved by a small USB removable drive.

Stu, I've had very similar problems and have ended up buying a new soundcard to try and sort things out (got an Extigy which seems to help). The guitar won't plug to the mic socket - it needs to be to the line in, and even then I still need to run it through an amp first and use the line out on that...

Bouncing midi to audio without lead swapping
You're also supposed to be able to set the output on the midi and the input on the audio track to the same device, then mute everything except the midi tracks you want to bounce and arm the audio track for recording. There should be no need to swap leads around. So far I haven't managed to get it to...
