Yes, I tried that function but it did not work. However, I copied the entire Cakewalk folder from my XP Pro machine to the desktop of my Vista machine and when I select the .exe file, Cakewalk works. I can't install it but I am able to use it as my default player for .midi files and it works! Hope t...

Cakewalk 3.0 and Vista
I've been using Cakewalk 3.0 for years and it does all that I need. I recently bought a new CPU running Vista Home Premium and I can't install Cakewalk 3.0. Is there any way that I can work around this problem?
