Without knowing what OS the person originally had, it's hard to say if they'll be able to go back. Once a disc is formatted for NTFS, it generally stays that way. Shouldn't be a big deal if she was running 2k, but if she had 98... I guess the moral of the story is don't pirate software. If I need a ...

I would suspect your ASIO drivers first. What hapens if you load MME or WDM drivers and attempt to listen. Are you using a 100% genuine version of Cakewalk? Kind of sounds like a Warez problem. Is your soundcard enabled to share drivers in Sonar? Try enableing this and then go to sounds and select a...

Is this a trick question? MIDI doesn't contain any audio data, so technically an audio track that sounds exactly like midi would be silence! That being said, if you have good converters and a good sound card, you can easily make an audio file that sounds exactly like what is coming out of your synth...

You have to adjust the latency (audio performance) settings for both your soundcard and in Cakewalk. Faster performance can make your pc less stabe, but it really is system dependent. For instance, I keep my machine on FASTEST and I never have a problem, but I have a fairly robust machine.

Good Luck!

BryGuy, I do have these drivers for XP. You're lucky I found them because I have not owned the card for a long time. I have zipped them up and posted them for you on my site. You will need winzip to use them. The URL is: http://www.bigblockmusic.com/822.zip Please let me know once you get them so I ...

Is there a multi/single mode? Sounds like you may have inadvertantly switched your card into a 'performance' mode.

Hey Ken, I do most of my mixing out of the box. I'm using a Ramsa DA7. I also use the Sonalakis EQ and Universal Audio's Pultec and Combridge. I recieved my upgrade and to be honest, I am wishing I didn't upgrade. I have not had the chance to use V-Sampler yet and I have not been using the Parametri...
