Rob, Looks like you have been busy over at musicv2 and have got about 200 tracks on your home page when you click that link.. It is a glitch in the forum that if you put an artist name that doesn't exist then it list all the tracks on the site. The problem is you have included a full stop (period) a...

Hi Rob, Glad to hear your are getting things working for you now. I think what you were trying to do is make last minute changes on the fly as you recorded the last stereo track so that you could get fades, pans etc. You can do this by recording automation. It's quite a big topic so look it up in th...

Well worth listening too folks, especially Cryogenic. I would need a bit more than Sonar to create a track like that Brian. I'm afraid they don't package guitar skills like that in a box, so I've still got a long way to go. Maybe we should have a Post your Tracks type thread and encourage people to ...

There will probably be a page with a whole load of buffer settings for the sound card drivers. It will still be in the audio setup somewhere. You will probably be set at 16bit/ 44100khz in Cakewalk so choose those buffers foe mono and stereo and adjust them until you clean the sound up. Generally in...

Hi Emma, I would just enter four notes in the piano roll. Set the tempo of the track, set the track to channel 10 and open up the piano roll. Down the left hand side are all the drum sounds on the appropriate key. Just select the click or rim shot and enter them on the sheet or play them with the co...

MIDI to AUDIO in Cakewalk Pro Audio 9
Goes for most of the other sequencers as well. Sorry it's a bit big. It's an article from the Cakewalk site a couple of years ago.
Any chance of making this a sticky please Mr Moderator

Go into the options > audio > general and increase the latency slider slightly until the audio is clear. Unfortunately this will introduce a lag or latency from the keyboard to when you hear the sound. This is down to your soundcard and it's drivers. Try to get the very latest WDM or ASIO drivers fo...
I'll be honest with you Stu this is one area that is annoying to a lot of people but once you get it figured out it's a case of duh why didn't I think of that before. The 1st thing is you will need some sort of preamp before you plug into the souncard. This is because of the difference in the impeda...

First thing to check is the the wave profiler. If you can get in to the options/audio menu run the wave profiler. If you can't get into that menu without getting the driver error message: In windows explorer open the main Sonar folder and find the aud.ini file. It might just be called AUD. It looks ...

Rob, If you have managed to record your individual midi tracks as audio you can now start adding effects direct to the audio tracks. Just right click on the fx box on each track and select the effect you want to apply. You can just leave the effects running on each track but keep an eye on your proc...
