Select the track you want to save. Click on S to (near the MSR buttons) to Solo the track then use mixdown under one of the menus (cant recall which one) to save the individual track and select WAV format

As Andy says make sure it's the Recording window you are looking at not the Play window.

I think "What U Hear" is a Soundblaster setting so if you have a different sound card it may not come up.

You may need to select Advance settings and tick the boxes to display all the settings

Strange! Is it definitely a MIDI file, ie a .mid extension?

Silly question, are you sure you havent got two seconds of silence before any MIDI notes start playing?

Are you able to post the file somewhere so we can download it and check our own Sonar settings?

You need to adjust the Mixer properties on your PC to record Line In or "What You Hear"

If you have the MIDI leads set up correctly it should just be a case of going into the Tools/Global options menu (or similarly named, am at work at mo) and select MIDI Clock to external.

Then when you start your Roland sequence the two should be in sync

See this thread, it may have a solution http://www.cakewalkforum.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=66&highlight=directx By the way you cant just "uninstall DirectX" and install a new one over the top. You have to reinstall the operating system. From the MS windows page http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/de...

Just found the PSR-225 user manual on internet. According to pages 96-97 all you need do is assign channels 3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10 to eight MIDI tracks in Cakewalk. Arm the tracks to record from those channels then follow the instructions in the manual to set the Accompaniment Out value on (which apparent...

I have an old PSR-300 and I read somewhere it doesnt output the accompaniment rhythms in MIDI format, although I was sure had achieved this a couple of years ago. Check your manual see if it mentions anything like that.

I hope yours was cheaper than this one! http://www.soundslive.co.uk/moreinfo.asp?id=83 Should be just a simple case of plugging a lead with a 3.5mm jack into the line out of your sound card and the other end of the lead into a connector that will fit one of the channel inputs shouldnt it and then do...

What keyboard you got?

I've got an old Yamaha PSR-300 and the manual says the rhythm is not output to the MIDI interface (although I'm sure I've achieved this with my old Amiga a long time ago).

It's because it's a rewritable CD. CD-RW wont play in normal CD players. At least this is what I've heard. I've never written to CD-RW myself because of this and therefore steered clear. A mate of mine had the same problem. When he mentioned rewritable it became clear why. Write to a CD-R and I bet ...

You could maybe drag and drop them in the piano roll.

Isnt there an Edit Menu option something like Interpolate that a has a Search and Replace function? I cant recall but you can do it from the Edit menu.
