recording audio

When I record an audio file I can hear it at playback but the track shows as a straight line instead of a wav file that I can edit. (Radio wave like file.

try audio - 3db louder a few times and see if the wav gets larger. Also try zooming in.

I recently upgraded to an omnistudio usb and I can't get any sound from omni or no audio input registers or records. I also try to change the drivers in cakewake but I find no way to do it help?
