Is this a trick question? MIDI doesn't contain any audio data, so technically an audio track that sounds exactly like midi would be silence!

That being said, if you have good converters and a good sound card, you can easily make an audio file that sounds exactly like what is coming out of your synths.

The topis has been answered to death on these boards. Do a seach or visit Cakewalk's website for instructions.

Good Luck!

Think egg means the other way round, GretscGuy,

<is it possible for Cakewalk to convert a wav file (that exactly sounded like midi) to MIDI?>

ie, is it possible to take a .WAV file and produce MIDI data from it?

you can extract midi data froma wav file but it's not going to have different parts broken out. I would say no.
