No polyphony

I'm running Pro Audio 9 while connected to recently purchased Roland XV-2020 sound module and Midiman Oxygen 8 controller. Problem is that I can only hear one channel at a time despite having 16 channels, each with different instruments selected. I followed directions accompanying the sound module but only channel 1 plays. How can I get the 16 different instruments playing at once?
