what am i doing wrong.

i recorded a song on my yamaha psr295 but when i sent it to cakewalk, all the tracks where on one track and it was terrible.
help please. what am i doing wrong.

Nothing, that's the way it works when you try to send it straight from the keyboard to Cakewalk.

Use the Yamaha software to transfer the file to the PC as a standard midi file and then open it in Cakewalk.

When Midi files are all on one track you can run the Split notes to Tracks CAL routine and this should seperate them all onto their own tracks.

not having keyboard long, i am not sure how to transfer song to pc but will give it a try.
have listened to your musc and think they are very good espesially :
music to do crosswords by ,i think this is great.

There is a program called the Yamaha musicsoft downloader that you need to download from the yamaha site to transfer the files backwards and forward.
