Midi outputs and directX9

Postby rafaelsf80 » Wed Mar 30, 2005 8:56 pm

Hi,
I have installed HS2004 over a W2000 laptop with a Crystal WDM Audio card. The installation procedure forced me also to install DirectX9, as a first installation step.

When HS2004 is executed, I receive "no midi outputs" message (only microsoft midi mapper is appearing in the midi output list). After reading some messages from this forum and after reading both "readme" and help files , I downloaded the DirectXUtility.exe program from the cakewalk support page to fix the issue.

After executing it, I noticed that DirectX version is now 8.1 (this can be read it at the DxDiag program)

However, I still have the same issue: no midi outputs in the list (only ms mapper).

Anyone can please help ?

Thanks,

In case this is useful for others:

I have fixed it just going into Advanced tab (Audio option) and selecting MME as driver mode.
