Midi problem

Postby DonW » Mon Apr 25, 2005 4:00 pm

Is it possible to play a midi file through Cakewalk though I have no midi devices attached?

I have several midi files on my PC (Windows XP) and have dropped them into a Cakewalk file. I see the tracks but get no sound.

Anyone know why?

Do you have soundcard? :-)

Check the ports in the tracks.

If you soundcard don't have midi sinthesizer (a very weird soundcard), you can route your midi signals to some sintesoft, cake2004 have two.

Greetings!

Hi

Thanks for that. I've now checked the manual more thoroughly and have found the answer.

Best wishes
