How do I set up cakewalk to receive the recordings I've made on my digital piano? I have a Yamaha Clavinova, and I've figured out how to initiate a "bulk data dump" from the recorder memory, but I get nothing in Cakewalk when I do that. I think I have Cakewalk all set up right: I'm able to arm and record from my keyboard normally. I've tried changing the clock source to "midi synch", but that didn't work... Any ideas?

I would say the easiest way to get the data into Cakewalk would be to save it on the Clavinava as Midi format 1 and then transfer it to your PC via whatever means you have (floppy disc, Yamaha file transfer program).

When you open it in Cakewalk, if the Sysex data was saved with it it will ask you if you want to down load it, say yes and away you go.

I have never been able to transfer data directly from the sequencer on my keyboard to the sequencer on the computer. The only other way would be to record directly to Cakewalk instead of the keyboard sequencer.
