Hi folks, I have a four year old Hp pavilion520n that I recently had erased and new windows XP home edition loaded. I have a USB-2 upgrade a dual monitor system using video-198pci-64 twin Nvidia.
My machine has 512mb and 50 gb memory I have a MobilEpre usb. I still have the same sound card that came with the computer. My computer is not on-line its strictly dedicated to music. I am running Calkwalk music creator 2003.
My problem is I still have latency. I have messed with the buffers I have defraged, have you got any ideas what I can do. Someone told me it’s the way my computer processes the info coming in and it needs to be reconfigured somehow but I have not a clue what that is supposed to mean. Do I need to get a new sound card and if so what kind? I also have midi stuff I would like to use so do I need a special card and connections for that?
Can you folks help me out? ---Thanks Joel in New Mexico
