metronome help req'd.

CW HS2002 / Audiophile2496 / WinXP.
I'm having trouble getting any sound from the midi metronome. The pc speaker works but I can't tset the midi up properly in MetronomeSettings. What does it mean by 'matching the channel and port'? I can't see a port field in the track view of the midi or audio track that works with it. What should the settings be for using the VSC DXi in CW as the metronome soursce? Thanks for any tips. Vinny.
