Sonar does not recognise my soundcard !

Postby Kev_Stepho » Mon Mar 13, 2006 3:28 pm

Hi all,

Recently purchased Sonar Producer edition, and have read the help section of how to setup midi output but when i go to midi devices to select my soundcard the only option i have is the midi mapper,

I believe my soundcard is C-media high definition audio device, although there is something called medion saa7134, hybrid capture device there as well, any ideas on this problem, or does it mean a new soundcard ??

Thanks for your time on this matter it is appreciated

That looks like an audio chip on the mobo. If that's the case it won't have any midi features on it. You will have to route all your midi thru softsynths.
