"staff" recording question

Hi,
I want to record piano section (left and right hand ) on one track.
Its recording but I have both hands in violine key, there no bass key in staff window. Is thet any setting to do that?

You don't say what software you are actually using so I can only advise how its done in Sonar, which should also apply to later version of Home studio.

Once you have the necessary staff view on the screen you will find a button on the staff view tool bar called "Layout", click this button and a dialogue screen will appear.

This screen will alow you to do the two things you need. The first is to set a split point between treble and bass, so choose the ranges of keys you want for each hand and enter the split point.

This should seperate the staff in to two, one treble and one bass. It should automatically enter the bass clef on the staff but if it doesn't you can change that in the dialogue box also.
