metronome again...

I'm sure this question has been answered, I've even looked a couple of replies and haven't been able to make sense of it. I'm using PA v9 and the metronome has the option of using the PC speakers. I choose that option, and I can hear the click somewhere deep in my computer but it's not audible enough and doesn't respond to my computer's volume.
