Fading

Postby GaryD » Sun Sep 28, 2003 3:04 am

I have a project I want to fade...I read some posts in here on the subject but I must be missing something....when I try to highlight just the measures I want to fade, the whole track keeps highlighting. I played with the markers and got further confused....help guys!

do you have to fade the tracks one by one?

thanks
Gary

Hi Gary,

I find it best to mix down to a final stereo track if I want a general fade out at the end. Just select the track and go in to the edit menu > select and choose the by time option, this will give you the most accurate selection points.

You can place the cursor line on the time rule where you want to select from and press F9 then press Ctrl & F10 and this will highlight the area to the end of you track on the time rule, then just select the tracks you want to fade.

You probably Know where the fade feature is
