home studio 6 won't finish installing

I have Windows xp. I'm upgrading from Home Studio 2 to 6. After installing it scans and can't find certain .dll files, amg other things. Program will not open, says install again. Same thing again. I'll call tech Mon and I'm writing this here. Thanks to anyone helpful. Larry in NM
