Improving sound of Midi files

Hi,
I have been using an old version of Cakewalk Pro Audio 9 but with the purchase of an EMU 0202 sound card got Sonar LE with it. I play around with a lot of Midi files and could do with improving the sound. Now according to the help file I should have TTS-1 as a soft synth and apparently that should help and also make converting to Wav much quicker than recording in real time. But it's not there, or I am missing something, is it avaliable as a download and is this the best way to go for a GM soft synth.
