Recording Vocals, getting a delay in playback

When I record my vocals, I record on a second track, when it records, it seems fine, but when I play it back, the vocal tray is started about 5 or 6 seconds after the original track.
Any ideas?

What version of Cakewalk are you using? If you are using Pro Audio 7 or higher (excluding Sonar) try:
Options/Audio/Advanced
Check to see if 'Simultanius Record/Playback' is checked. If it is not, check it and resart Cakewalk. If it is uncheck it and check it and start Cakewalk. You may also want to run the wave profiler.
It's a hard question to answer without more info. Please provide:
PC Specs
Soundcard
Exact version of Cakewalk you are running
