I am using Home studio 2002 recording MIDI drums with guitar and bass recorded from a mic.

When I create (export) to a .WAV file the MIDI sounds are lost. What can I do?

Thanks

midi data is not actual sound, but data that contains on/off mesages sent to you midi sound module.

There are several ways to creat a .wav file out of sequenced (midi) tracks alongside audio.

The simplest is to run the outputs of the device recieving midi (probably a synth) into your soundcard and record the output onto another track (or tacks if you want stereo). After that is acoumplshed, simply export the .wav file.

There are several ways to do this, however all of them involve turning your midi data into audio at some point.

Good Luck!

A book you should check out is Paul Lehrner's MIDI For the Profesional. Great inexpensive reference that I still refer to now and again.
