The soundsite used to be the best on the net but unfortunately it was closed down.

It depends on what type and style of soundfonts you are after.

Excellant piano soundfonts here http://www.personalcopy.com/

also http://www.sonicimplants.com/freesoundfonts.htm

and http://www.hammersound.net/

a few here http://www.audiomelody.com/SoundFonts.htm

a large selection here, although not sure about the quality ftp://ftp.lysator.liu.se/pub/awe32/soundfonts/

and a good tutorial about soundfonts here. http://www.computermusic.co.uk/tutorial/soundfont/soundfont.asp
