track re-records previous track on new track

Postby thedenster » Mon Oct 13, 2014 7:36 pm

I have sonar 8.5 Pro I'm running on Windows 8 - 64 bit and am using internal sound card (Realtek HD Audio). If I record on line 1, then try to record on line two, line two will record the playback from line 1 along with the new recording. If I mute line one and play line 2, I will hear both line 1 and line 2. What am I doing (or not doing!) correctly? echo's are set to off on both tracks. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks :?

I'm actually at a different computer right now, so I can't tell you EXACTLY where the setting is, but there is a setting that is "sound on sound" and it sounds like somehow you have that checked. Possibly under preferences, but honestly I'm not sure... Just check every option and every sub option. It's in there somewhere.
