Cakewalk 2002 Install Question...

I'm trying to configure Home Studio 2002 and am not having any luck...I'm getting no sound during playback.

I've got an older Yamaha sound card and can't figure out how to configure Cakewalk to work with it.

Any ideas?

We need more information than that.

Are you trying to record midi or audio or both?

Do you have an external controller (like a keyboard)

What are you using for a midi interface?

System specs? (OS, HD, Clock, RAM, etc...)

If you want a complete answer we need complete information.

I'm recording audio from downloaded .WAVs or music...no midi work whatsoever.

I don't have any external peripherals like keyboards, mics or other instruments...all audio is coming from my CD library or downloaded off the Net.

I'm currently running XP Professional on a Dell Pentium 3 450 megahertz processor. I've got 384MB of RAM on my system.

My soundcard is a Yamaha Legacy DS1.

The program's installed and runs fine. I haven't had any shutdowns or freezes trying to configure the audio within Cakewalk 2002. I just can't seem to get any output.

...sorry. Forgot to add that I've got two stacked drives in my system.

My OS is installed on a 40 gig drive running at 9600RPM. I've got a slave drive that's 30 gigs and runs at 9600RPM.

Sorry, I don't help people pirate music. Maybe someone else will help you.
Good Luck!

I'm not pirating music at all. What I'm using the Net for is sound bytes from movies and current events. Sound boards, .WAV sites, etc...

What would Cakewalk have to do with pirating music?

You don't have to help me if you don't want to. However, I purchased this software LEGALLY and am trying to learn how to use this. I didn't go to the Net for a cracked version or "borrow" someone's copy and registration code.

If this site's run by the makers of Cakewalk, the help you receive here is pretty lame.
