Hi everyone, I recently purchased a creative audigy ls soundcard and since i've set it up I've had problems basically.............
I record audio on track 1 and then when I insert a new track, when I record on to it I get a copy of what was on track 1 on track 2 so it has bounced the audio from track 1 - 2, this didn't happen with my motherboards built in sound and I have checked all my settings, please tell me if I've missed something simple.

The problem is in your soundcards recording options. Double click the volume icon in the taskbar and find the recording option. There make sure you only have the source that you are recording from checked. It sounds like you have 'what U hear' checked at the moment.
