Can't hear click track thru PC spkrs

For some reason I can't hear the click track, except when played back on a midi instrument. I would like to be able to hear it on my PC speakers, or through the audio channel, so I can feed it back into the recording studio through the playback headphones. HELP!

The metronome is generated by midi so you can only hear it when playing midi and not audio.

The only way with audio is to create a click track with midi and then record it as audio to play along with your track.
