Entering triplets using the staff view

Postby Barrymac » Wed Feb 04, 2004 2:40 pm

The staff view is great for us who are not keyboard players, but SONAR apparently only allows triplets to be entered as 3 notes at a time. Yet sometimes the sheet music will depict tied eigth notes as a "triplet quarter note + an eigth note". How can this be entered into the staff view?

this post also appears in the SONAR forum.

You should be able to enter notation like that graphically in the piano roll and then it will show up as the equivalent notation in the staff view. I always toggle between the 2 screens because the piano roll is easier for a lot of stuff.
