Tie two notes over a bar line?

Can anyone please explain how I tie two notes over a bar line? I have one eight at the end of a bar that I want to tie together with the first eight in the other bar. How do I do? Thanks in advance, Bee

Just join the 2 notes together in the Piano roll view. It's probably the easiest way.

I have I highlighted the two notes in the Piano view but I don't know how to join them together? I tried to drag them together but nothing happens. They are already close together but it playes two notes. Please explain. Thanks!

Make sure that you have the pencil type tool selected. Hove the pencil over the end of the first note until you see it turn into a double arrow then click and drag over to the second note.
