vst's and latency problem..

i have a motu 828 mk II and a windows xp 2.4 Ghz processor w/ alot of Ram..i'm triggering vst's like lounge lizard from my triton keyboard, but for some reason there's latency..anybody have any idea what the problem is?i experience latency when in Sonar or just using the vsts by themselves..thanks guys
