Recording from Yamaha DTX drums as MIDI

Postby Guest » Mon Mar 01, 2004 8:06 pm

ok, I'm able to record from the Yamaha DTX drums as line in, but I'm looking to record as MIDI. I have the 15 pin MIDI cable and connected it to the computer as the instructions indicated and set the source setting in Cakewalk as MIDI omni. I've also set the record settings on my Soundblaster Live as MIDI (as opposed to mic or line in), but still I can't record anything. What other settings do I need to change in order to be able to record?

Make sure your DTX is set as a master and then when you press record it will wait for the DTX to start transmitting.
