Hello,

I have recently bought cakewalk sonar and punctually, I have come up with some problems and questions.. please help me..

1) I have some midi files that I created from my keyboard. I need to make some changes on these files, but when I open it on Sonar, it sounds very bad... However when I play them on my keyboard, they sound wonderful !! Is this an issue ?

2) First I didn't hear any sound,, also didn't see any midi output device except Microsoft MIDI Mapper. I changed the settings to MME. It showed a midi output device.. so I could finally hear some sound. I wish cakewalk should include such common things in their trouble shooting advices for customer investing 400 US $ for their software!!! Anyway, this is solved and you guys are always there to help us out!!

I wanted to record 16 track midi from my Keyboard, so I connected to the breakout box of my sound card delta 66. Well.. I could hear sound properly, however when I press record and played back, it sound awkward......so bad,, I suspect there might be any frequency mis-match or there must be something wrong OR I'm not doing right. Can you please share your knowledge base in helping me out ?

Thanks so much for your help and have a good day,

sincerely,

Vish

I do not have your answer, but am bumping this because it seems like a very good question to me. I do not have a MIDI keyboard yet, but am seriously thinking about getting one. How does the breakout box on your sound card work? Is it accessable from the front of the computer? Does it have quarter inch inputs for guitar and xlr for microphone like a mixer?

well...
