drum machines etc.....

Postby Sundog » Sun May 16, 2004 8:58 pm

I am a Harp player and have recorded some stuff with midi background which worked OK... I know nothing about drum machines and how they would be used should I try to do an origbinal composition with a couple of harp tracks (all audio) and perhaps a guitar track also (audio).

Is there a book or literature out there somewhere that would take me through the basics and then on to how to integrate the drum rhythms with the rest of the song.....

Thanks...

Hi Sundog. I am a guitar player trying to figure how to get drums integrated into my sound also. I am using Cakewalk Pro Audio 9 and Fruity Loops 3.5 to program drum loops to jam over. Cakewalk comes with lots of different drum styles that you can just open up, set your loop points, and jam over with your instrument.
