Line separation

Hi,
I am new to this forun, and new to cakewalk!
I am a music teacher in a small conservatory, and i am preparing a small excersize book for my students in the theory class.
What I am trying to do is to make each line or a couple of lines contain a separate excersise. Whether I shorten the excersise or enlarge it I want the excersisies to stay on a separate line. (basically line breaks).
can anyone help me PLEASE
