I can't record MIDI from my keyboard on Music Creator. Clicked in notes on the staff view make the keyboard play just fine. I am using an Edirol USB MIDI interface UM-1X and everything is plugged in correctly as far as I can tell. I had no problems recording MIDI from my keyboard with an older version of Cakewalk and a older MIDI serial port cord. This new gizmo came with some software, but the best I could understand was that the software would only improve the performance and was for experts. Since I am not, I did not install the software. Need help!!!

The software might be the drivers. Does it appear in the midi devices in the options menu. If not then install the software if it does make sure you have the keyboard selected as the midi in device.
