VSTi problem...please help!

Hi,
I've just bought Steinberg Groove Agent ('cos my drum programming is cr@p so I need all the help I can get!).
However, it seems I've wasted my money... I can't get any sound out of it! Not a peep.. The LEDs are flashing away merrily, but there is no sound.
I tried it with a demo copy of Cubasis I have, and it works fine, but I don't really want to have to change my sequencer!
I ran fxpansion vst wrapper several times, and that doesn't seem to be the problem (and I have no probs with my other VSTi's, e.g. The Grand, Lounge Lizard etc.).
The manual is (naturally) very Cubase-orientated, but even so, I think I've tried every combination of I/O midi channels etc. in Sonar.
I've posted this in the CM/FM forum too, 'cos I'm starting to go v.grey! Please help!!!
