Cut and Pasting in Audio Tracks

Really simple question (I think!): Using Sonar Home Studio 4, but can't work out how to cut and paste audio clips. Can anybody explain it step-by-step, cause the manual is, to say the least, not too good in this area!! I need to be able to over-dub good bits over the bits I muck up!!!
